Leavenworth in December

My husband Tyler has two twin brothers that live outside of Wenatchee in Pechastin, also just minutes outside of a cool town Leavenworth. It's a imitation of a German town. Really fun to walk around to all the cute shops and enjoy a beer and brat to eat at all the cool pubs.
In December they put on a lighting festival every weekend. During the day you can enjoy all kinds of activities, music and entertainment. At night they attract you as the sun goes down to all the buildings to trees light up, with many colors. It's kinda like a fantasy, and the children love it. We went with friend Trish and my brother in- law Carson and his two adopted boys, Collin and Avie, also sister in-law Erin, who lives in East Wenatchee and her two kids, Tanner and Bradyn got to join us as well.
The place is packed from people all over, with tons of charter buses from Seattle who come for the all weekend event. Pretty crazy, but it is a lot of fun!
We got there in the evening just at the right time to watch the light up and listen to carolers. They had an activity to have kids come up by age and sing any Christmas carols they may know. My nephew Collin didn't hesitate and sang LOUD and not so clear, but just awesome and so CUTE. That was my favorite part!
Looking for something fun to partake in with your family in the Holiday seasons (or even in October for Octoberfest) GO to LEAVENWORTH!! It's Beautiful surrounded by Big mountains and lots of activities around the area, including hiking, climbing, putput golf! :)
